This work is a 40-foot-long panel installation, with close-ups of Bilal’s work, printed on aluminum panels. The artwork is a mixed-media abstract narrative that layers interpretations of the four classical elements with parts of the Greek story of Cyclops and Odysseus, as well as eschatology and Egyptian mythology.

Askia Bilal was born in New York City and lives and works in Missouri. He describes his work as a search for meaning- a tool to make sense of the world and a way to reflect on the human experience. Askia hopes for his work to raise questions and evoke a sense of wonder and mystery.
