The exact time of creation and the identity of the creator are currently unknown, but this door mural was created for the Grindstone Print Studio or the Midwest Print Collective —a group founded by Jeffrey Moore and Frank Stack.

The door sits on East Ash St, on the side of the Balsamo warehouse. The door leads to Frank Stack’s studio, MU Professor Emeritus of Art, who taught for nearly 40 years. Stack is best known as an American underground cartoonist, printmaker, and fine artist, with beautiful landscapes and figure studies.
